Kinzi and Jerry were married at Fort Steilacoom Park, in Lakewood WA. The wedding was simple, yet (as the bride said), "perfect." There were no distractions. It was all about their best friends and their closest family members gathering to celebrate their wedding. The bride, giddy as ever, couldn't help but giggle and smile.
We started the day shooting around the park. Usually, I will arrive early to wander around a bit, to familiarize myself with the location, thus allowing me to find a number of areas suitable for photographing the couple. After working with them for a time, we brought in family members for the remaining group photos. The day was typical Washington. One moment the sun was out, the next moment we were looking for umbrellas. Fortunately, the rain held off. Pastor Paul officiated. I actually know Pastor Paul and have worked with him before. If you ever need someone to speak with, he is your guy. And a handy little tidbit about him, he is a fan of the original TV series Doctor Who!
I chose a selection of photos for you, shown below. i hope you enjoy a peek into this wedding, and that the joy and fun show in the photos will brighten your day!

Our couple. Giggling on a park bench.

Here they are giggling again, as the groom dips his bride.

Can you tell these gals are all friends? Inseparable.

Best friends, best family. The special people who cheered them on, loved them unconditionally, and nudged them forward when needed.

Wedding couple joking with daughters. I would love to know what was said that was so funny!

Caught up in the emotion of the moment.

First hug as a married couple.
