My hope is that the information provided on my website is easy for you to find and understand. There are so many product options and photography genres, that sometimes, it can feel overwhelming! Let's see if I can second-guess a few questions for you. :)
Services. Do I offer...?
Well, yes, to a certain degree. I have been in the business for many years and am fluent in many genres of photography. For example, a majority of my commercial work was through (GoDaddy) which sent me out on all kinds of different assignments. Real estate, food and restaurant, headshot, product, etc. Jobs were never guaranteed, so I had to be very skilled in order to be considered.
Whereas I specialize in wedding/event and high school senior photography, I certainly help when I can for other types of work. Just click "Other" on the contact form and I will gladly answer your questions.
Products
There are so many different options available for your photos. Acrylics, canvas board, thinwrap canvas, clusters, mounted prints, framed prints, metal prints with a creative edge, mid-gloss, satin, whew!!!! Where does it stop!?
It's hard enough just going to the local frame shop to pick out a frame from endless corner samples let alone figuring out all of the other combinations for photos. Fortunately, that's where I come in. I'll help you weed through all of the choices, to find the product you like best.
Let's start with a few basics:
Prints and Paper
The traditional paper print. My prints are mounted to styrene, which is a thin, hard plastic that resists warping. The mounted print is ready to install into a frame but does not include a frame.
Paper
Paper selection is chosen at your ordering appointment, but I have samples you can see. Papers range from smooth (no texture) to varying degrees of texture. I love textured papers because those are what my Grandmother used in her business, so I am very used to them and love the appearance!
Metal Prints
Metal Prints are literally infused to metal. An aluminum sheet to be precise, about 1/16" thick. I really like metal prints. They are quite sturdy, can be framed or not, and have a look unique to them. If you are considering displaying the print in a high-traffic area, metal is a very good choice! Metal can be ordered framed or unframed.
Acrylic Prints
Acrylic prints are definitely one of my favorite mediums. You may even have seen them in your local mall. With acrylic, your image will be printed onto a 1/4" thick sheet of Plexiglas. What makes acrylic so amazing and totally different from all of the other mediums, is that light will come through the back of the print. Depending on where you hang the print, you may see the print "in different light" during the day. Literally, at night, it will look more like a traditionally framed print but as light shines through it, the print will take on an entirely new look, one that I and many of my clients enjoy. It's really neat. I offer acrylic prints with stainless steel (silver in color) posts in each corner for a more modern touch.
Canvas
Canvas has so many options, but I have narrowed it down for you. I offer framed or unframed canvas. In either case, the photo actually wraps down the edges of the canvas. Edges are usually 1 1/2" long. Unframed canvas arrives ready to hang. Framed canvas arrives in a "float frame," ready to hang. There is a slight border between the canvas print and the frame, which makes it look like the canvas is floating within the frame.
Canvas is beautiful and traditional. It is an excellent choice.
Albums
Even though I only offer two albums, there are enough differences between the two that I felt it best to write a blog especially for them. However, here is a quick overview of the two:
My Premium album offers many "bells and whistles" that the Silver album does not have. Two main differences are the cover, which with the Platinum starts as a lovely soft, padded cover, or the Silver, with its traditional hard cover. The pages in each album are very different too. The pages in the Platinum album are significantly thicker (like cardstock) than those in the Silver album.
Please see the blog dedicated to albums for a much more detailed overview!
