FAQ
Do you shoot destination weddings?
I tend to stay in the greater Seattle area. We would need to discuss this during the initial consultation.
Will there be a second shooter?
Typically no. I have a wedding assistant who works with me during most weddings, but she is not a photographer. Second-shooters would be an additional charge.
Raw or .JPG?
Unless requested, I only shoot raw, for several reasons:
RAW makes use of all of the image capturing capabilities of my camera.
RAW provides way more ability to adjust the image on the computer.
RAW gives me complete control over the image, to produce the best image I can for you.
Can I extend the session on the day of?
Typically yes, unless time constraints restrict it. Additional charges apply.
Do I have to order prints through you?
No, but I strongly recommend it as I can then provide the photographs as they were intended. Retouched digital files are available for additional fees.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have had some amazing opportunities. I photographed a local mayor and police chief and staff, an Olympic Gold Medal swimmer, and multiple "How-To" book authors.
Typically though, my clients range from children, families, brides and grooms, Real Estate Agencies, even a software company, a manufacturing trade magazine, a photography magazine, and others!
How did you get started in this line of work?
My Grandmother was a huge influence on me. She was a portrait/wedding photographer for 40+ years in a small town. I grew up with cameras always nearby and had access to studio equipment early on. I am honored to now follow in her footsteps.
What kind of gear do you use?
I offer my clients a wide variety of photographic options which is why you will see me with portable lighting equipment and duplicate equipment on most jobs.
