Love what you do
And I do. I have always had a mindset that I am here to help. When I worked at Microsoft, I never thought of myself as an employee, I was a helper. On the phones in product support, I helped customers solve their problems so they could be productive. As a tester, I helped developers find problems before software was released. As a photographer, I carry a very similar mindset. I am here to help. I help restaurants create menus by providing photographs of their food. I help businesses promote (or create) their brand by providing photographs of their products or services. I help brides by documenting their weddings in photographs and families by creating photographs of their loved ones.
I'm not a photographer because I lost my job during Covid nor am I a photographer because I have an expensive camera. I am a photographer because it is in my blood. Sure, I know how to use the equipment I own, but more importantly, I know how to be kind, and I know how to listen.
At Microsoft, so many coworkers commented on how often I smiled. I loved working because I loved helping people. You are not a burden to me. I am here for you-- To provide the photographs you need, to create photographs that will bring you joy in the years to come.
Over the years, I have worked in many different photography genres. Below is a sampling of the many photos I have created for clients. In some instances, such as photographing the bowling alley, I was given access to personnel areas customers never see. In others, it was "walk-in and shoot" in the allotted time with much of the creative elements left to my discretion.
