Albums

I love albums, so these are my favorite product choices. Most every one of my family had some kind of album. My Aunt had albums she made when she was in high school and college. My mom had some. My grandmother had albums of all our family at gatherings. My cousin has albums of family get-togethers at the lakeside cabin. I poured through them as a kid and still enjoy looking through them as an adult. I have my own albums of places I have been or childhood memories and albums of photos I didn't know what to do with, but knew I wanted them in an album somewhere, so I stuffed them into an album. :) I like that my kids can look through them too!

I offer two choices-- my Platinum album, with all the "bells and whistles" and my Silver album, with fewer options, easier and quicker assembly. Let's go through the two albums.

The Platinum album differs from the Silver album in two main ways. By default, the cover is a soft, padded material, vs. the hardbound cover on the Silver. The pages are noticeably thicker than in the Silver album. That said, the Platinum album can be upgraded to use a metal cover, an acrylic cover, or a wood cover (for an additional fee) instead of the padded cover. The Silver cannot be upgraded in this way. Note the padded cover is shown in the picture above, with the bouquet of roses.

The Platinum album includes thicker pages, almost like cardstock. The pages don't bend (well, they aren't supposed to!). I can show you the two albums so you can see the paper differences, but the pages in the Silver album are thicker than a print, but not as thick as in the Platinum.

The Platinum album allows for more page options, such as rotating the image or adding shadows to each print. It can be purchased (again, for an additional fee) with a special display box (the box is equally stunning!). Page gilding is available with this album, which is the colored edge of each page seen from the side. Often, you will see gold or silver used, but other options are available. On my sample Platinum album, I chose not to add page gilding, so the edges are white.

Lastly, the Platinum album features papers that are coated with a special UV protectant, to help prevent fading over time. The Silver album does not offer this option.

I hope this helps you understand the differences between the two albums I offer. I will have them with me at your ordering appointment so you can see them in the live. I don't believe you can go "wrong" with either choice because they are both stunning. The prints look amazing in either book!
